GARDAÍ IN BALLYFERMOT in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body on waste ground at Cherry Orchard Parade.

The body was discovered by a member of the public at about 6.30am today.

It is understood a shotgun was found nearby.

The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda technical examination and the body remains at the scene.
