Man critical after being found with head injuries in bedroom

Police say they believe he was attacked or assaulted.

DETECTIVES ARE INVESTIGATING after a man was found seriously injured at a flat in Ross House, Mount Vernon in Belfast.

The man, who is 24, was found in a bedroom at around 11.30am yesterday.

The PSNI said that the man had sustained head and facial injuries and is now understood to be in a critical condition in hospital.

Detective Inspector Mark McHaffie said: “At this time we believe this male may have been the victim of an attack or assault of some kind.

We are working hard to establish exactly what happened and we are keen to hear from anyone with information that could assist our investigation, in particular anyone who was in the vicinity of Ross House from midnight to midday on Monday 28 December 2015, and who saw or heard anything that could assist.
