Youth due in court after arrest this morning in connection with fatal assault on man last March

The deceased, a man in his 30s, was assaulted in the Castlecranna area in Newport and died six weeks later.

 A MALE YOUTH is due in court this morning after his arrest earlier today in connection with a fatal assault on a man in Co Tipperary last year.

The deceased, a man in his 30s, was assaulted in the Castlecranna area in Newport. He was brought to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died six weeks later on 25 April.

The youth was arrested today and is due to appear before Tipperary Town District Court sitting at Thurles this morning.
