One teenager dies and two others injured in Kilkenny crash

The 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene outside Mullinavat.

A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died following a single-car crash in Kilkenny today.

Two other males, aged 19 and 20, were seriously injured in the collision which occurred at about 1.20pm on the Mullinavat to Waterford road.

The 19-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene approximately 3km from Mullinavat. His body has been taken to the morgue at Waterford Regional Hospital.

The other two occupants of the car are being treated at Waterford Regional Hospital.

Gardaí in Thomastown are investigating the circumstances of the crash and the road is closed pending forensic examinations. Diversions are in place.
