Poll: Does it matter what TDs wear in the Dáil?

Should it matter what our public representatives dress like? Have your say in our poll.

SOME NEW TDS raised a few eyebrows around the country today when they decided to attend the first meeting of the 31st Dáil without donning suits.

Mick Wallace’s pink shirt and blue globe earring were labeled by some viewers as inappropriate – while Richard Boyd Barret and Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan didn’t escape criticism for forgoing jackets.

What do you think – should TDs dress formally in the Dáil?

Poll Results:

They should dress formally and project a professional image (1193)
They should dress in whatever makes them comfortable (841)
I don't care (600)
