Several explosive devices found in Dundalk property

SEVERAL EXPLOSIVE DEVICES have been found in a residential property in Dundalk, Co Louth today.
The Defence Forces’ Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene and confirmed a number of devices to be viable.
Gardaí evacuated houses in the immediate vicinity, closed the road to traffic and created a cordon.
The devices were removed from the scene by the EOD for further examination.
The cordon was subsequently lifted and residents returned to their homes.
No injuries were reported and enquiries are ongoing.
