ABOUT 20,000 PEOPLE will participate in the annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage up Croagh Patrick today, a tradition that has been upheld on the Mayo mountain for 1,500 years.
Earlier this morning, TheJournal.ie published a slideshow of images from the holy hill taken during photographer Sergey Sergeev’s own climb.
“Everyone who makes pilgrimage does it for his or her own reasons, but for all of them this is a spiritual journey,” he writes about his work.
Are you among the thousands who have experienced the hike? Have you ever climbed Croagh Patrick?
