Poll: Would you consider a 'no frills' wedding?*

A priest North Clare is offering low-key ceremonies free-of-charge in the hope of encouraging hard-pressed young couples to set a date.

A PARISH PRIEST in Clare is offering recession-busting weddings as a way of helping cash-strapped couples, according to this morning’s Irish Examiner.

The ceremonies include ‘community weddings’ whereby the bride and groom are married after mass on a Sunday, and ‘micro weddings’ which include just the couple and their witnesses.

Fr Conor Cunningham is offering both services free of charge.

What do you think?

Poll Results:

*’No frills’ in the metaphorical sense. So far as we know, Fr Cunningham hasn’t set a dress code.
