Heavy rain to continue overnight in four counties

Counties Kerry, Cork, Waterford, and Wexford are all subject to a rain warning continuing into the morning.

LAST UPDATE | 30 Nov 2025

A STATUS YELLOW rain warning is in place in Kerry, Cork and Waterford today.

The warning came into effect at 2pm this afternoon and will expire at 9am on Monday morning.

Another rain warning is due to come into place in Co Wexford at 8pm this evening and continue until 10am tomorrow morning.

Met Éireann has warned that there’s a possibility of spot flooding and difficult travel conditions for the duration of the warnings, which forecast heavy and persistent rain.

Cloud will build from the west throughout today with rain developing in the west and southwest in the early afternoon, extending eastwards to all areas by early evening.

The highest temperatures expected are 4 to 8 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds, getting stronger later on.

It will be a wet night for most, with widespread rainforecast.

A clearance will move into western and northwestern areas towards the morning.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees are expected, in fresh south to southwest winds, light to moderate in the north and west.

Tomorrow, 1 December, is the first day of meteorological winter.

It will begin with heavy rain, which is to gradually clear and even leave room for some bright spells.

However, further showers will spread from the west through the day. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees are expected.
