Man arrested for withholding information over shooting of six-year-old boy

It is understood the arrest is in connection with withholding information.

A MAN HAS been arrested by gardaí investigating the shooting of a six-year-old boy in Dublin on Friday night.

The man, aged in his mid-30s, was arrested at approximately 3.30pm this afternoon.

It is understood the arrest is in connection with withholding information.

He is currently being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.

The six-year-old was shot in the neck in an incident on Friday night in that the Minister for Justice branded a “barbaric” attack.

Gardaí appealed for those behind the attack to come forward.
