Teenage boy arrested after late-night stabbing leaves young man hospitalised in Cork city

The victim, aged in his late teens, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

A TEENAGER HAS been arrested after another teenage boy was injured in a serious assault at a property in Cork city in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene in the Blackrock area of Cork city shortly before 1am.

An adult male, aged in his late teens, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

It is understood the victim suffered stab wounds during the assault.

A teenage boy was arrested at the scene, and is being detained at a garda station in Cork city.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.
