Rain warning issued for Cork, Kerry and Waterford tomorrow

Met Éireann has warned that there’s a possibility of spot flooding and difficult travel conditions for the duration of the warning.

LAST UPDATE | 29 Nov 2025

A STATUS YELLOW rain warning has been issued for Kerry, Cork and Waterford.

The warning will come into effect at 2pm tomorrow, Sunday, and expire at 9am on Monday.

Met Éireann has warned that there’s a possibility of spot flooding and difficult travel conditions for the duration of the warning.

Today will see a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle sinking southeastwards, clearing by early afternoon.

Sunshine and the odd shower will follow from the northwest.

Scattered showers will develop in the west and northwest after dark.

Temperatures will reach highs of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate north to northwest winds, fresher at times near eastern coasts.

Tonight will be cold and mostly clear, but with some showers, mainly in the north and west.

Frost and possibly some ice will form in places with lowest temperatures expected to be between -2 to +2 degrees. Mist and fog patches may also develop.

Sunday will be mostly dry and bright tomorrow morning with just isolated showers.

However, rain is forecast in the west in the early afternoon, extending eastwards to all areas by early evening. Highest afternoon temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees are expected.
