ALL FLIGHTS ACROSS Aer Arann and Aer Lingus Regional schedules will run as normal next week as a planned strike has been cancelled.
The industrial action was averted when airline management and pilot representatives reached an agreement today.
The strike had been threatened for next Tuesday and Wednesday over an ongoing pay row, centred on a refusal by management to end a 2008 pay freeze or reverse pay cuts implemented when the airline was in financial trouble.
“‘We are pleased to confirm to our customers that it is business as usual at the airline. The strike has been averted. All services will operate fully, across all routes, at all airports,” an Aer Arann spokesperson said.
Aer Arann operated 27 routes, including Aer Lingus Regional flights.
