A TEACHER IN Texas let slip to his class that it’s been so long since he had a birthday cake that he can’t remember when it was.
Instead of just glossing over this fact, Kyle Simpler’s students decided to throw him a surprise birthday party, complete with balloons, streamers and of course a cake.
The cake even had a picture of a cat on the front, apparently all he talks about is his cat.

An elderly teacher who lives with his cat and has never had a proper birthday??? I think there is more pressing issues here than the fact he hasn’t had cake in a long time.
Why? God forbid it’s a sin now to be a bachelor and have a pet? Or are you trying to imply something else? It’s you my friend with the problem, not a man who has dedicated his life to educating children. All it shows is the respect that his pupils have for him. Ok you both got me completely wrong here. And so did everybody else by the look of it. I was making a point of his loneliness. The pressing issues being maybe he is depressed. It just seems to be that American stereotype of a teacher with nothing in his life only his job. It’s a lovely thing for his class to do and I wish him nothing but good. I just hope he has somebody and something meaningful in his life.
And what do you mean by “stereotype”? I teach in the American High School system, and I’ve yet to come across your “stereotype” in two years of doing so. I’d like you to clarify what you mean by that, and on what actual facts you base it on please, thank you.
