Teenager to appear in court today charged over death of 16-year-old girl hit by scrambler bike

The male, aged in his late teens, is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10:30am today.

A TEENAGER HAS been charged in relation to a scrambler bike crash that left a 16-year-old girl dead in Finglas over the weekend.

The adult male, aged in his late teens, is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10:30am today.

Gardaí said they are continuing to investigate the fatal road traffic collision, which occurred on Ratoath Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, on Sunday afternoon.

Grace Lynch was walking along the Ratoath Road when she was hit.

She was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown to be treated for serious injuries, but died that evening. Grace’s death has left the local community “deeply shaken”.
