Man (20s) dies after single-vehicle crash near Tralee

Local traffic diversions are in place following the incident.

A MAN IN his 20s is dead following a crash outside Tralee in Co Kerry.

Shortly after 10am, Gardai and emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle incident involving the car on the N69 at Ballingowan.

The driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A garda spokesperson said that the local coroner has been notified and the deceased will be taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination by specialist Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Local traffic diversions remain in place.

Gardaí investigating the fatal road traffic collision have appealed for witnesses to the collision.

They are particularly appealing to those with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the area at the time to come forward.
