Tributes pour in for Westmeath hurler Donal Devine who died at training last night

The 40-year-old was married with two young children.

A WESTMEATH HURLER passed away after becoming ill at a training session with his club last night.

Donal Devine represented Westmeath in inter-county hurling at all levels and won four hurling championships with Castlepollard.

The 40-year-old was married with two young children.

Westmeath GAA posted on its Facebook page, “Westmeath GAA is today mourning the loss of Donal Devine Castlepollard who sadly passed away last night.

A true Castlepollard Gael, Donal gave a lifetime of service to the club and his passing has been a massive shock to his family, friends and the wider GAA community.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
