QUIZ: Are you a True Detective? Then see if you can solve this difficult murder mystery

The second episode of True Detective Night Country will air on Monday on Sky Atlantic.

THE BIG QUESTION of the week is have you seen the first episode of True Detective: Night Country?

The season premiered on Monday on Sky Atlantic with an episode that was both chilling and intriguing in equal measure. This episode and all following episodes are available on Sky Atlantic and on demand thereafter.

The new season, which has been lauded by critics and audiences alike, was written and directed by Issa López and stars Academy Award Winner Jodie Foster. In her first major television role, Foster is joined by professional boxer Kali Reis as co-lead in this series, while Christopher Eccleston and John Hawkes also feature in the impressive cast.

True Detective: Night Country sees the disappearance of a group of men from a research station entangled with the cold-case murder of Annie, an Alaskan Native climate activist.

Foster and Reis are dragged into the murky darkness of the case both figuratively and literally as they battle their own darkness within as well as the long polar nights in Ennis, Alaska.

Episode two comes out in the early hours of Monday morning (2am Irish time) – the same time as it hits screens in the US. But for anyone who can’t quite manage to stay up that late, the episode will air again on Sky Atlantic on Monday night at 9pm, and is available on demand thereafter.

In the meantime, how about you put your detective skills to the test and check out our interactive murder mystery below. Beware though! The decisions you make in the quiz can change the course of the investigation and lead you down dark roads that you can’t escape.

Only a True Detective could solve this crime…
