Man arrested after two men hospitalised with serious injuries following Dublin City assault

A man in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in Dublin city.

A MAN HAS been arrested after two men were hospitalised with serious injuries following an assault in Dublin City centre this evening.

Gardaí responded to a report of a serious assault on Sean McDermott Street Upper, Dublin 1 shortly after 5:30pm.

Two men, both aged in their 20s, were brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A man in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in Dublin city.

The scene is preserved pending a technical examination and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
