SUNNY AND WARM weather is in store for this weekend, with highs of 17 to 23 degrees.
And Met Éireann meteorologist Linda Hughes said temperatures will continue upwards with “warm or very warm” conditions into next week.
“The best temperatures will be in the midlands and the east and then we will see temperatures really rising into early next week,” Hughes told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland.
Temperatures could reach up to 24 or 25 degrees next week or “maybe even a little bit higher”, Hughes added.
Before then, this weekend will see pressure bring mostly dry and settled weather too, although sea fog may impinge on some coastal areas.
Saturday night will see most areas remain dry and clear. The lowest temperatures expected range from eight to 12 degrees.
“Sunday will bring another warm day with spells of sunshine,” Met Éireann outlined in its weekend forecast, adding that temperatures will stay around the 18-22 degrees range.
