Status Yellow weather warnings issued for seven counties from tonight

Counties across the west are affected by the warnings.

STATUS YELLOW WEATHER warnings have been issued for seven counties across the west from tonight.

Met Éireann has released a notice that a wind warning will affect Clare, Kerry, Galway, Mayo from 9pm tonight until 5am tomorrow.

Strong and gusty westerly winds, difficult travelling conditions and loose debris are all being flagged by the forecaster.

A Status Yellow rain warning has also been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, taking effect from 5am tomorrow morning.

It will last for the day and is not expected to lift until 5pm tomorrow.

While it is in place, localised flooding, difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility are all in store on roads in the three north-western counties.
