Storm Antoni clears into Irish Sea after a night of heavy wind and rain
The first named storm of the season, Storm Antoni, has left Ireland.

MET EIREANN HAS forecast sun and mild showers for this afternoon as Storm Antoni leaves Ireland after flooding and power outages.
A status yellow wind warning which was in place for nine counties expired at 1pm today.
Hundreds were left without power in Co. Cork this morning, while residents of Clontarf had to be evacuated from their homes by the Dublin Fire Brigade.

The forecaster has predicted that some scattered showers will continue for the rest of the day, most frequent across the east and northeast, but there will be dry intervals in the rain.
The weather is expected to remain breezy for a time in the south of the country with fresh and gusty northwesterly winds, gradually easing by this evening.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees are also forecast.
Tonight will be dry for many areas with a few well scattered showers.
