Here are the weirdest and most brilliant pictures sent in by our readers

Sometimes we are sent really useful news tips and pictures, other times we are sent really weird stuff like this

OVER HERE AT TheJournal.ie headquarters we sometimes get sent in really, REALLY random stuff.

While for the most part our readers send us news tips and pictures that are perfectly relevant and useful, sometimes they’re really not.

We used to post some of the weird stuff that got sent our way, and we’ve recently started bringing back the randomness.

So here’s a look at some of the surprises we got when we opened our inboxes recently:

Cosy

This image came in with the caption, “Big night by the looks of it.”

Someone give that man a hug.

Strike a pose

One reader got in touch when they spotted two images on the river looking extremely similar.

I don’t know if you meant it.. but the similarities between these two photos are striking. Sporting legends now both.

No place like home

This snap of clouds came in all the way from Kampot in Cambodia.

It certainly made us take a second look as we were struck by the shape of Ireland.

Friends Forever

This extremely cute photo of an unlikely friendship came in with the following explanation, “My horse and cat are the best of friends.” #squadgoals

Fantastic, Mr

This image came in with the simple caption, “My pet fox having his dinner.” No word on what the dinner is.

Pooches Smooch?

And keeping with the pet theme, we receieved this image of these two beauts with the caption, “The Cutest Pooches Smooch”.

We’re not entirely sure what that means  - but we’d love to know what they’re looking at in the distance. Such intense gazes.
