Raise a toast to Pamplona’s annual festival.

FOR THOSE NOT running with the bulls through the streets of Pamplona at San Fermín this week, there’s plenty of tasty goings on closer to home.

To celebrate the festival, Wines from Spain has partnered with Ballyvolane House and The Legal Eagle to bring the spirit of San Fermín alive in the Cork countryside and the heart of Dublin city.

Located in northern Spain, close to the Pyrenees, wine has been produced in the wine region of Navarra since Roman times. Stretching 100 kilometres from the valleys of Pamplona to the Ebro river, its diverse climate and landscape produces a variety of different styles of wine.

Wines from Spain will host two showcase dinners, with stand-out wines to complement the dinner to perfection.

The Navarra dinner to celebrate San Fermín in Ballyvolane House is on Tuesday 24th July, and wines will be introduced by Ernie Whalley, renowned restaurant critic and wine writer. The Navarra dinner to celebrate San Fermín in The Legal Eagle is on Friday 27th July, led by expert wine writer, John Wilson.
