Poll: Are you in favour of wind turbines?

The new minister for natural resources wants more public consultation on the issue.

THE NEW MINISTER for Communications, Climate Change and Natural Resources has called for further public consultation on the issue of wind turbines.

Denis Naughten has said he is aware some people have objections to turbines and he wants to look at other energy options, according to RTÉ News.

Wind farms are seen by some people as a necessary step in making Ireland more environmentally-friendly. However, others believe they have too many drawbacks – particularly if you live close to them – and want stricter regulations in this area.
