Woman dies in Waterford car crash

The woman in her 60s died after the car she was driving collided with a tree.

A WOMAN IN her 60s has died following a single car collision in Waterford today.

The incident occurred at Ballyduff at about 3.15pm.

The woman was fatally injured when the car she was driving lost control and collided with a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.

She was the only occupant of the car and nobody else was injured.

Gardaí in Lismore are continuing their investigation into the collision.
