Woman in her 70s seriously injured after being struck by bus in Cork

Investigations are ongoing into the incident.

A WOMAN IN her 70s has been seriously injured after she was struck by a bus in Cork city.

The incident happened this afternoon shortly after 2:30pm on Patrick’s Street.

The injured woman was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries which have been described by gardaí as “serious”.

The scene was examined and has since reopened to traffic.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
