1. #MIGRANT CRISIS: More than 200 migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean are feared to have drowned after their boat capsized off Libya. Irish vessel LÉ Niamh rescued 367 people, including 13 children.

2. #SPLISH SPLASH: The government has launched an attack on Eurostat over its ruling on Irish Water last month. In a letter seen by the Irish Independent, Department of Environment officials said the research used was ‘littered with inaccuracies’.
