13-year-old boy dies after weekend road crash

The teenage cyclist was involved in a crash with a car in Co Louth.

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy who was seriously injured in a crash on Saturday has died as a result of his injuries.

The crash between a car and the young cyclist happened on the Slane Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth. The driver of the car was not injured.

The cyclist was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he passed away last night.

Gardai in Drogheda are seeking assistance from any members of the public who travelled this road between 7.30 and 8.30 on Saturday evening.
