Tragedy

Man (36) dies and five-year-old girl is injured in Co Down car crash

Another man is in a critical condition in hospital.

A 36-YEAR-OLD man has died and a five-year-old girl has been injured in a two-car crash in Co Down.

The crash happened in Ballynahinch with another 32-year-old man in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

The condition of the injured five year-old girl is being described by the PSNI as stable.

The deceased man has been named as Paul Donnelly from Collinview in Belfast.

Police say the crash happened at about 7.30pm last night on the Mageraknock Road with the road likely to remain closed for much of today.

Two cars were involved in the crash, a Vauxhall Vectra and a Ford Focus, with police seeking information from anyone who may have seen the cars in the area at the time.

People who came across the scene after the crash are also being asked to contact police.
