19-year-old cyclist dies after collision with truck near UCD this afternoon

The incident happened at Greenfield Park, just off the N11 this afternoon.

A 19-YEAR-OLD CYCLIST has died after he was involved in a collision with a truck near UCD this afternoon.

The incident happened at the junction of the Stillorgan Road and Greenfield Park at 3.15pm today (near RTÉ studios in Donnybrook).

The man was then taken to St Vincent’s Hospital but later died from his injuries.
A garda spokesman said: “The scene of the collision was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

“Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses to this collision to contact Donnybrook Garda Station on 01 6669200, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line or any Garda Station.
