Man in his 40s appears in court after gardaí seize €200,000 worth of cannabis in Kerry raid

A 42 YEAR old man who had been arrested at Listowel garda station in relation to a €200,000 cannabis seizure has appeared before a special sitting of Tralee District Court this evening charged in connection with yesterday’s seizure.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kerry area, gardaí seized 100 mature cannabis plants and 6.5kg of herb.

Gardaí made the seizure at about 4.30pm at a property in the Kilmorna area of Listowel.

The raid was carried out by officers from the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit and the Listowel District Drugs Unit. The property has been preserved for a technical examination.

Comments have been turned off as legal proceedings are ongoing.
