There are no taxi services from Dublin airport as a result of a dispute about parking spaces for drivers.

A DISPUTE BETWEEN taxi drivers and the Dublin Airport Authority is ongoing this evening, and could continue into the night.

A spokesperson for the drivers’ group Tacsaí Timonaí na hEireann has told TheJournal.ie that the Dublin Airport Authority is “refusing to budge” on the issue of parking spaces for taxis.

Taxi drivers withdrew services this morning in dispute over DAA’s amendment to the temporary overflow area for taxis at the airport which saw the number of parking spaces there reduced.

The night crew of taxi drivers has now arrived at the airport, but have been asked not to take fares. Drivers are however taking fares to the airport.

Passengers are being directed to alternative modes of transport.
