Four due for court after €650,000 worth of cannabis seized in Carlow

Gardaí arrested the four men on the outskirts of Carlow Town last night.

FOUR MEN have been charged in relation to the seizure of €650,000 worth of cannabis in Carlow yesterday.

Officers from the Garda National Drug Unit and the Carlow Detective and Drugs Unit seized the cannabis herb, which is pending analysis, after stopping a number of vehicles in a yard on the outskirts of Carlow Town last night at around 7.30pm.

The four males – two in their 30s, one in his 50s, and one in his 20s – will appear at a special sitting of Carlow District Court at 10pm this evening.

The men were all arrested at the scene, while four vehicles, two vans, two cars and some cash were also seized.
