Boy (8) dies in Galway farming accident

He was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD BOY has died in a farming accident in Galway.

The incident happened earlier today between 11am and 11.30am in Kilcolgan.

Gardaí say the boy was rushed to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified of the incident and will carry out an investigation.
