Gardaí make multi-million euro cannabis seizure in Kilkenny

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis with a combined estimated street value of €3 million (subject to analysis) were seized, Gardaísay.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED three men in connection with a multi-million euro seizure of cannabis in Co Kilkenny this evening.

An operation involving the Garda National Drugs Unit, Gardaí from the Kilkenny Division and Regional Support Units a search saw a double warehouse in Kildalton, Piltown, Co Kilkenny, searched this evening.

During the search two cannabis grow houses were discovered. Plants at various stages of growth and cut cannabis with a combined estimated street value of €3 million (subject to analysis) were seized.

Three males aged in their 30s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Thomastown and Kilkenny Garda Stations.
