Why is this man at Kim Jong-il’s funeral twice the size of everybody else?

THIS LOOKS LIKE just another still photo from the incredible footage of Kim Jong-il’s state funeral in North Korea – until you notice that one mourner is twice the size of everybody else.

The giant onlooker – dressed identically to the hundreds standing in tight ranks on either side of him – was spotted by an eagle-eyed Reddit user. What’s going on? We don’t know. But we do know it’s lucky for everybody else that he’s in the back row. (Photo: AP/Press Association Images)
