Human remains found in Tallaght

Gardaí were alerted to the situation by members of the public who were walking in the area this morning.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the discovery of human remains in a forestry in Tallaght, Dublin, earlier today.

The remains were discovered near Military Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 this morning. Gardaí were alerted to this situation by members of the public who were walking in the area.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination, the technical bureau is currently on location,and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The remains will be taken to the City Morgue in Marino this evening where an examination is expected to take place tomorrow.
