Man with serious head injuries discovered in Navan

The 25-year-old man is in a serious condition in Beaumont Hospital.

GARDAÍ IN CO Meath are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man with a serious head injury early this morning.

At around 2.20am today, a call was received from ambulance control that a 25-year-old man had been found at Metges Lane, Navan.

The man was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda by ambulance and was subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he is in a serious condition.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or for witnesses who may have been in the Watergate Street or Medges Lane between 1.45am and 2.30am to contact them at Navan Garda Station on 046 9036100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
