the dual carraigeway near me is 60km (after dropping from 100km not evem 80) an hour but a road that can fit one car wide only and has grass growing in the middle of the road is 80km an hour in louth! makes no sense

The drop in the speed limit on the dual carriageway you descried is revenue raising exercise and nothing else. Everybody knows the speed cameras are in locations such as the one you describe to catch unaware drivers, and not in the 80 & 100 km areas where the majority of fatal accidents happen.

For example the N81 in west Wicklow is listed on http://www.garda.ie as one of the most accident prove roads in the country where it has a speed limit of 100km; however the speed cameras are located within the 50 & 60 km zones hidden behind bends in the road & gaps in walls.

Dont pay the bondholders next year and use the money to stimulate the imploding economy
Stop the greatest exodus of our fittest and finest leaving at a rate not seen since the famine
Get the government to take their heads out of there arses and do something about the tidal wave of mortgage default that will hit soon
Get to the bottom of the banking enquiry
Carry out all the promises that the said they would two years ago
Dont use bail out money to pay the pensions of top bankers
Dont cut frontline public service staff, start at the top and work down
Stop all disneyland pensions to ex government ministers, you join politics to make a difference not to become a millionaire
Get rid of cronyism stroke politics
Cut government salaries because if we are trying to negociate a writedown, its not great having our politicians on higher salaries that the people they are negociating with

I can think of a few more but i have a dinner to cook and kids to feed after a hard days work for minimum wage.

I think the the ones leaving are the most qualified and as I said the 5.5 billion we are paying to bondholders needs to be used in some form of stimulus package.
we built a good economy up before the property bubble and I think the smart economy is the way to go. spend money on upskilling.
our education system while under huge pressure is quite good.
money should also go on capital projects as we have a huge amount of building workers unemployed.
enda was right years ago when he said you cant tax your way out of recession but it got lost along the way.
the secret to saving this country is to get this country working getting people paying there mortgages and spending there wages in the local economy. money earned helps everyone.
we will no doubt need to adjust our standard of living but that should be across the board and stop the wealth disparity gap widening.
