MAURA HIGGINS WILL compete in the next season of the US show Dancing With The Stars.
The Longford native, who got her big break on Love Island in 2019, has been booked and busy, alongside her social media influencing.
Higgins was a hit with US audiences when she appeared on The Traitors earlier this year.
She turned heads at the Golden Globes in January, sporting an old Hollywood look that solidified her as an up-and-coming It Girl in America.
Her latest gig will see her compete with 11 other celebrities to win the Mirrorball trophy.
Previous contestants include Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson, Zendaya, Olympian Simone Biles, singer Normani, and influencer Alix Earle.
In a video shared on Good Morning America, Higgins said she was “so excited” for the opportunity.
“I’m so excited. Get me on that dancefloor. I want to win the trophy,” she said.
“I manifested this. Please pray for me.”
The new season will premiere on 13 July and will be available to stream on Hulu.
Speaking to US news outlet Bustle after the announcement, Higgins described how she “froze” when she got the call from her agent because it was “surreal”.
“I’ve wanted it so bad for so long and it was the only other show I wanted to do as a contestant,” she said.
Higgins also said this may be the last show she appears on as a contestant.
“After Dancing With The Stars, I think I’m probably done. I mean, never say never … but it’s the only other show on my vision board, contestant-wise.”
Ciara Miller, a star of the reality show Summer House, was also announced as a contestant today.
