A UK academic and expert in the field of visual profiling has used technology normally used to produce photofits of wanted criminals to digitally compose what the UK public’s most attractive man and woman look like.
People were consulted on what they saw as being the most attractive attributes in a person. Factors considered included nose size, fullness of lips, and hair type.
From the results of that survey Dr. Chris Solomon of the University of Kent created 100 facial profiles which were then rated for attractiveness by members of the public.
Solomon says the study, which was commissioned by Samsung to tie in with the launch of their Galaxy S6 smartphone, reveals ‘some interesting results about what Brits consider to be the epitome of beauty’.
“It’s important to note that these are the idealised faces according to those living in the UK, so a study in Asia or Africa for example would no doubt have different results,” he said.
The study also looks at the ways men’s vision of male beauty and women’s of female beauty differ from the perspective of the opposite sex.

The study also looked at what celebrities conformed the most to the ideal.
The conclusion? Natalie Portman and David Gandy are the most attractive celebrities going.
So, what do you think, are these two the definition of hotness?
