Man suffers severe injuries after falling off a bridge in Dublin

He was rescued by members of the Dublin Fire Brigade.

A MAN WAS rescued by members of Dublin Fire Brigade after he fell off a bridge last night.

The incident occurred at around 1am in Cabra, near Finbar’s GAA Club on Fassaugh Avenue.

It is believed the man fell about 20 feet off the bridge.

A Dublin Fire Brigade staff member told TheJournal.ie the casualty suffered severe injuries and was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary figures show Dublin Fire Brigade received 321 ambulance calls to its control centre between 4pm on New Year’s Eve and 6am this morning – a similar figure to the same period last year.
