Tomas you would probably know a lot more than me about it, as you said you are a west Belfast man, but I’d honestly like to know just how much support they actually have? They appear to have a certain amount anyway.. The only real way to defeat these groups would be full to completely infiltrate them with informers, which is obviously the plan.

The difference was the Provos had support from the people these other groupings don’t ….. There was a war against the British and loyalist death squads when the Provos where in operation

A road I lived on in Dublin had ten pipe bombs in nine months and only one was reported on the radio. We were never evacuated. Bomb squad was frequently outside our house. Very old council estate….

Nope I won’t, I’m Irish and as far as I’m concerned the IRA are the only ones ever to protect the nationalist community in the north. I don’t support them though hope they dont go away because we will probably need them again in the future. You might be happy siting in your house in the south though we still have loyalists in the north who need to be taught a good lesson and who try to attack us everyday just because we have a certain amount of equality and they wanna look like the victims.
