Investigation after body of man in his 40s discovered in Co Cork

The scene has been sealed off as initial examinations take place.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after the body of a man in his 40s was found in a house in Rathcormac, Co Cork earlier today.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the man was found dead shortly before 11am.

The scene has been sealed off and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The body remains at the scene. It’s expected a post-mortem will be conducted at Cork University Hospital once an initial examination of the scene takes place.

The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
