Remains discovered in Dublin identified

Gardaí have identified the remains of a person uncovered in the Dublin mountains on Sunday as those of missing Dublin man James Kenny McDonagh.

GARDAÍ IN TALLAGHT have identified the remains of a person discovered in the Dublin mountains over the weekend as those of missing Dublin man James Kenny McDonagh.

McDonagh, from Islandbridge in Dublin 8, had been missing for since October 2010. Gardaí believe that the 28-year-old was abducted and murdered by a criminal gang.

Two people who had been hiking in the area discovered the remains on Sunday.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Kilmainham Garda Station 01-666 9700, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
