Have you seen this couple? They have been missing since last Tuesday

Joe Maughan believes his son is missing because he knew too much about a gangland murder.

WILLIAM MAUGHAN (34) AND Anastasija Varslavane (20) have been missing since last Tuesday April 14.

The couple were last seen between 2pm and 3pm in the Gormanston area of Meath.

Maughan’s father told The Irish Independent that he believes his son was targeted because he knew too much about a gangland murder. Joseph Maughan said:

“My son knew something that he should not have known and that is why they have been taken away.”

It’s understood that Maughan was not involved in serious crime but had a drug habit.

Gardaí are today renewing their appeal for the public’s help in tracing the whereabouts of the pair.

Varslavane is of Latvian origin but has been living in Ireland for a number of years.

Known as Anna, she is 5’6” in height, of slim build, with long dark hair.

Willie is described as 5′ 8”, of athletic build, with shaved head and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station 01-8010600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
