Nine-year-old girl dies after falling ill at Dublin swimming pool

It is understood the child may have suffered from an underlying health issue.

A NINE-YEAR-old girl has died after falling ill at a swimming pool in Dublin.

Emergency services were called to the swimming pool in Tallaght.

The young girl was taken to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin where she was pronounced dead. A post-mortem will now be carried out.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of her death, but it is not believed to have been suspicious. It is understood the child may have suffered from an underlying health issue.
