Toddler in critical condition after falling from sixth floor balcony of hotel

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene.

A TODDLER IS in a critical condition in hospital after falling from a sixth floor balcony at a hotel in Limerick.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at the Strand Hotel on Ennis Road at around 1pm.

The boy sustained serious injuries and received medical assistance at the scene. He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick.

Gardaí said the scene has been preserved for an examination.
