TripAdvisor reveals top 10 destinations in Ireland, did your favourite place make it?
Dublin lost out on the top spot.
THE TOP 10 destinations in Ireland have been named by travel review website TripAdvisor.
Its Annual Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on user reviews and ratings.
Killarney has been voted as the top destination for the first time, overtaking Dublin.

- Dingle
- Galway
- Donegal Town
- Westport
- Cork
- Sligo
- Doolin
- Tralee
Meanwhile, Marrakech took the top spot for the first time in the list of the top 10 global destinations.
Half of the ten cities located are in Europe and New York failed to make it in for the second year in a row.
Speaking about the top global destinations, TripAdvisor spokesperson James Kay said, “The competition among global tourist destinations has never been tougher.”
The top 10 have been named as:
- Marrakech
- Siem Reap
- Istanbul
- Hanoi
- Prague
- London
- Rome
- Buenos Aires
- Paris
- Cape Town
